The new General Data Protection Regulation - is your business ready?

Thursday 16 March 2017

Harbour Hotel, Guildford

9.30am to 12.30pm; registration from 9.00am

Data protection laws are about to undergo a radical change, which will affect all businesses, whatever their size, in all sectors. Organisations have just over 12 months to prepare for, and ensure compliance with, the new laws, which will apply from May 2018.

This event will be of interest to any business that holds or uses personal data and any person responsible within the organisation for that data, including marketing professionals, HR professionals, Heads of IT, business owners, in-house lawyers, contract managers, privacy officers and other compliance professionals.

In particular, the new laws will impose direct, statutory obligations on those organisations that hold and process personal data for or on behalf of others, such as cloud service businesses and other service providers. These organisations will need to plan for how this will impact their operations and liabilities.

We will look at some of the challenges faced by businesses arising from the General Data Protection Regulations and we will help you create a road map for the future.

This update is free to attend and includes refreshments.

This seminar is by invitation only. Should you be interested in attending, please contact Laura Reynolds.
