Court fees: Rethinking the merits of arbitration versus litigation

The Ministry of Justice has announced that court issue fees will increase with effect from Monday 9 March.

In an article published on 3 March in the Law Society Gazette, Stevens & Bolton look at the question of whether this increase might cause businesses to look instead at using alternatives to litigation as a means of resolving commercial disputes, particularly arbitration.
