Increasing Runway Capacity: A Noisy Debate

Anyone seriously involved in the aviation market will know that a debate is raging in the UK as to how to increase runway capacity in the South East of England.  Should we build one additional runway or two?  Should Heathrow be maintained as the main hub airport, or should a new hub be built?  With the advent of the new generation of wide-body twins, do we need a hub at all?  But do we make use of the capacity already available?
