Stevens & Bolton LLP advises on Kia Training Academy

Stevens & Bolton LLP has assisted long standing client Kia UK Limited on its multi-million pound investment in the Kia Training Academy. The Academy delivers up to 2,500 apprentice delegate days, 3,600 technical delegate days and 1,400 non-technical delegate days each year.

To support the apprentice training programme, Kia also teamed up with the East Midlands Centre for Automotive Training (EMCAT) to provide the very best learning environment for apprentices. The centre is accredited by ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) for Light Vehicle Service Maintenance Technician, Diagnostic Technician and Master Technician levels.

Dealer Development Director Simon Hetherington said "We are delighted to have launched the Kia Apprentice Scheme and to enable trainees to become part of one of the most dynamic and fastest growing brands in our industry. Our scheme provides apprentices with the chance to learn the trade, earn good money and become qualified for their future career with the brand at the end of their studies."

The Stevens & Bolton LLP team was led by Beverley Flynn (commercial partner) assisted by Claire Hyatt (associate) and Michael Laver (property partner) assisted by Bethan Dodd. The KMUK team consisted Simon Hetherington and  Ian Goswell.
