Current senior partner Richard Baxter has been reappointed for a further 5 year term alongside continuing his practice as a corporate/M&A partner.

The last few years have seen year on year revenue growth and continuing investment in our business. Since January 2016 we have:

  • appointed 10 new partners (including 3 lateral hires)
  • increased overall headcount by 14%
  • won the “National/Regional Law Firm of the Year” category at the 2016 Legal Business Awards

Following a major strategic review in 2016 we have completed a new 3 year strategic plan to reinforce our vision to be one of the UK’s most successful independent law firms, offering excellence beyond the City, a great culture and one of the best client experiences.

Richard King commented: “I should first of all thank Ken for his tremendous contribution as managing partner; under his leadership and alongside the senior management team, our firm has continued to grow and prosper. I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and to leading the firm through its next period of development. Our team has never been stronger and my main focus will be on ensuring that, together, we continue to place our valued clients and people at the centre of all we do.”

Ken Woffenden added: “I am really looking forward to my new role as head of our international practice and focussing on growing this vital area. Our relationships with independent law firms around the world are strategically important to all areas of the business. We enjoy deep relationships with a number of high quality tried and tested firms and I look forward to developing and expanding this network to the benefit of our clients.”
