Corporate Law Firm of the Year for 3rd successive time

Stevens & Bolton LLP has won 2009 Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the annual South East Insider Dealmakers awards held on 5 February, repeating the successes of 2007 and 2008.

In congratulating the firm, event organisers Insider said. "Stevens & Bolton LLP's pre-eminent position in the market was confirmed again as the firm ran out resounding winners for the third year running".

Corporate partner Keith Syson also retained the individual award for "Corporate Lawyer of the Year", despite stiff competition, including from two of Keith's colleagues, Jonathan Porteous and Ken Woffenden, both of whom were also among the top 6 short listed corporate lawyers.

The event was attended by over 250 members of the region’s corporate finance community, including banks, accountants, private equity houses and other professionals in the sector.

The firm has a specialist corporate team of 25 lawyers and clients across the UK and overseas, ranging from household name international groups to start-ups.

Ken Woffenden, head of the firm’s corporate team said:

“This is a fantastic result for our corporate practice and indeed the whole firm. These awards were voted on by senior corporate finance professionals and businesses from across the whole region and we are grateful for their support. We believe these awards reinforce our strong reputation for providing City of London quality service at value for money rates. This approach continues to strike a chord with clients, even more so in the current tough economic climate”.
