Stevens & Bolton's aviation specialist appointed to BACA Council

Richard Mumford, Head of Aviation at Stevens & Bolton LLP, has been appointed to the Council of the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA). Bernhard Fragner, the Founder and CEO of GlobeAir AG, was also elected to the Council during a recent meeting held at the Baltic Exchange in London.

The BACA Council represents the interests of commercial aviation companies particularly in the air charter industries and markets and promotes integrity and ethical practices. Members include air charter brokers, charter airlines, airports, business aircraft operators and consultants to the industry.

Richard has a keen interest in aviation having worked in the sector for 11 years. He heads the aviation team at Stevens & Bolton where he represents aviation household names and advises a breadth of clients including cargo and passenger airlines, lessors, operators, charter brokers, MROS, banks and suppliers.

Commenting on his new role on the BACA Council Richard said: “These are exciting times for air charter. Service delivery is being driven by technological, political and socio-economic developments. BACA is the leading global members' organisation and has a unique opportunity to drive the market into the future. I am delighted to be afforded the opportunity to use my experience to the benefit of BACA and its members.”
