Voted Corporate Law Firm of the Year for 5th successive year

Stevens & Bolton LLP has been voted Corporate Law Firm of the Year for the fifth successive year, at the 2011 South East Insider Dealmakers Awards held earlier this month.

The event, which was held near Gatwick, was attended by over 350 members of the corporate finance community from across the South East including banks, accountants, private equity houses, lawyers and other professionals in the sector.

This award reinforces the reputation of Stevens & Bolton LLP as one of the elite corporate firms in the South East, having won this accolade every year since the inception of the awards back in 2007.

Ken Woffenden, Head of Corporate at the firm, who received the award on behalf of the team said:

“We are naturally delighted to have won this award five times in a row. It reflects a fantastic team effort during this period which has helped us to maintain and increase our market share even during the turbulent market conditions of the past 2 years. Once again we really appreciate the support of our clients and friends in the intermediary community.”

The award follows a large number of high profile transactions that the firm has worked on over the last 12 months, with a total deal value in the region of £1bn. These have included working with clients such as Monitise, Edwards, Filtrona, M J Gleeson Group, Papa Johns (GB), Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services, Cineworld Cinemas and Next Wave Partners.

Keith Syson, one of the firm’s six corporate finance partners, also won the only other legal award when he was voted “Corporate Lawyer of the Year”, having previously won this award in 2008 and 2009. Partner Jonathan Porteous was also among the five individual lawyers short listed for this award.
