Caroline joined Stevens & Bolton LLP, as a consultant, in 2017. She qualifying in 1990 and has worked for international firms in both London and Birmingham, heading up real estate dispute teams.
Her experience has encompassed nearly all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant litigation and real estate litigation, including business tenancy lease renewals (both opposed and un-opposed), dilapidations claims, forfeiture, break options, applications for consent, recovering possession, restrictive covenants, third party rights, boundary issues and insolvency aspects. Caroline’s clients have included retailers, property investment companies, government departments, developers and charities. She also specialises in telecommunication work having worked for a number of telephone operators.
Although Caroline has vast experience in court proceedings, Land Registry application, matters before the Lands Tribunal and mediation, Caroline takes a pragmatic and commercial approach to disputes avoiding litigation where possible, addressing potential issues at any early stage and seeking an early resolution.
Caroline is a member of the Property Litigation Association and is the current chair of the Women in Property Solent Branch. She is a regular lecturer on a range of property related issues to surveyors and clients.
