James is an experienced corporate lawyer who advises public and private companies, asset managers, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, both domestic and cross-border.
James joined Stevens & Bolton in 2017 having spent his early career at a leading City law firm where he qualified in 2008.

- Rock Rail on its joint venture with Infracapital to develop opportunities in the German rail market and its equity co-investment under the new platform in a fleet of Siemens electric trains for the Leipzig Central German S-Bahn Network
- Dutch media platform Azerion Group NV on its acquisition of Hybrid Theory
- FTSE 100 value-add distribution group Diploma plc on its £100m acquisition of R&G Fluid Power Group and several other transactions
- Aeronautical engines and components manufacturer ITP Aero on its €150m acquisition of Rolls-Royce Plc's operations at Hucknall
- FTSE 100 international distribution and outsourcing group Bunzl Plc on a number of acquisitions
- Rock Rail on its equity co-investments in over £1.75bn of UK rolling stock financing projects for the South Western, East Midlands and West Coast rail franchises
- Bakkavor Group plc on its strategic acquisitions of Haydens Bakery from Real Good Food plc and Blueberry Foods from Samworth Brothers
