CIArb Practice Guidelines

What goes on inside an arbitrator’s head?’
Speaker:  Tim Hardy, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Practice and Standards Committee

Stevens & Bolton in conjunction with the South East Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators present a seminar on the CIArb Practice Guidelines.  Charged with the development and promotion of best practice worldwide  through research and guidance, the Institute’s Practice and Standards committee  has produced a series of Guidelines and Protocols on International Arbitration, Construction Adjudication and Mediation.

Tim Hardy the chair of the committee that produced the Guidelines will give a presentation entitled ‘What goes on inside an arbitrator’s head?’ to explain the editorial policy and  the consultation behind the Guidelines to illustrate how useful they are in practice.  He will dip into a few of them to draw out salient points.  He will include a practical procedural problem for the audience to play with.

This should be an interesting presentation for arbitrators, adjudicators, practitioners and anyone interested in the field.

The event is free of charge.
