Stevens & Bolton LLP in conjunction with The South East Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators invite you to their Construction Adjudication Workshop 2019.
The construction industry has used adjudication to resolve disputes for over 20 years but despite hundreds of court judgments, those involved with the disputes need practical help more than ever when faced with difficult and often complex issues.
The workshop will provide practitioners (adjudicators and those who represent or assist parties), the parties themselves and all those interested in alternative dispute resolution, with the opportunity to learn about the current issues in adjudication.
Using interactive scenarios, the speakers will analyse the issues and provide practical tips and solutions to some of these current hot topics.
- Christopher Dancaster has adjudicated several hundred disputes and is the co-author of one of the leading texts on construction adjudication. He lectures on the subject for numerous institutions including CIArb and RICs. Chris is a past Master of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.
- Karen Gidwani is a partner at law firm Fenwick Elliottt LLP. In addition to advising on adjudication and all forms of construction contact, process and dispute resolution she is the editor of the Construction Industry Law Letter (CILL) and a contributor to Practical Law Company (PLC).
The workshop will be chaired by Tom Halket the current President of CIArb. Tom is from New York and an experienced attorney, arbitrator and mediator. He is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law.
