Stevens & Bolton LLP recently advised Fuller Smith & Turner PLC on its £7.3m acquisition of a 51% stake in The Stable pub and restaurant chain.
The team was led by corporate partner Jonathan Porteous and real estate partner Andrew Steele, and included specialists in employment and pensions, IP, tax and commercial contracts.
The Stable is a rapidly growing business specialising in craft cider and gourmet pizza, which is proving a big hit in the South West. Also included as part of the sale was the freehold and business of The Bull Hotel in Bridport, Dorset.
Commenting on the deal, Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director of Fuller’s Inns, said "The Stevens & Bolton team did a fantastic job in completing a complex transaction within a very challenging time-frame. I was particularly impressed by the way in which the S&B team were able to bring a high level of emotional intelligence to a deal where talented people and strong brand values are central to value".
Fuller’s investment will allow the founders of the business to realise their expansion plans and they will continue to run the business in the years ahead.
