Advising on the sale of PK Wealth and PK Financial Planning

The Stevens & Bolton corporate team has advised leading London-based professional services firm PK Group Ventures Limited on the sale of PK Wealth Limited and PK Financial Planning LLP to Shackleton (formerly Skerritts).

Headquartered in London, Shackleton is a Chartered financial adviser and wealth manager backed by Sovereign Capital Partners, a UK private equity buy-and-build specialist. Shackleton unites a group of like-minded firms, brought together through strategic acquisitions, under a single, integrated operating model, ensuring a consistent and client-focused approach to wealth management.

PK Wealth and PK Financial Planning are the PK Group’s wealth management, financial planning and employee benefits entities. The teams work with private individuals, companies, trusts and charities in conjunction with their professional advisers, providing investment, employee benefits and related advisory services. The sale to Shackleton allows the PK Group to invest in and grow their remaining business while ensuring that their valued clients remain well supported in the years ahead.

Patrick Kennedy, CEO of PK Group, commented: “We carefully considered firms that would complement our approach and enable us to continue providing exceptional service to our clients, while also benefiting from the additional resources of a larger group. Shackleton shares our high standards and commitment to excellence. It was good to work with the S&B team and we are thankful for their help and support in getting the deal over the line.”

Jonathan Steele, Corporate Partner, commented: “We were delighted to work alongside the PK Group on the sale of its private wealth business. We look forward to seeing the business continue to grow under new ownership and congratulate all parties on the successful conclusion of a mutually beneficial acquisition and disposal”.

The Stevens & Bolton team was led by Jonathan Steele and Krishna Patel, with support from David Draper (corporate), John Forde (corporate tax), Hannah Ford and Azrah Ahmed (employment), Tom O’Dell (real estate) and Guy Cartwright (commercial).
