Stevens & Bolton LLP announces two new partners

Stevens & Bolton LLP has announced two new partners as part of a wider round of internal promotions.

Tim Carter (Insolvency) and Kate Schmit (Taxation and employee benefits) have been promoted to partnership and associates Hannah Ford (Employment, immigration & pensions) and Charlotte Tillett (Intellectual property) have been promoted to senior associates.

In addition partners Andrew Steele (real estate) and James Waddell (corporate) have been promoted to equity partner status. The firm now has 36 partners, of whom 17 are equity partners.

The promotions follow closely on the heels of the appointments of three partners and two associates from Shadbolts to the employment, commercial litigation and construction practice groups and the hire of real estate partner Charles Leach from Mayer Brown International, in the past year.

Commenting on the promotions Richard Baxter, Managing Partner of Stevens & Bolton LLP, said: "These promotions reflect the significant contribution these individuals have made to our business. We are particularly pleased to recognise this against the backdrop of a challenging economic environment, reaffirming our commitment to internal career progression at Stevens & Bolton LLP. Our growth in recent years, has combined the promotion of internal talent and top quality lateral hires, a trend we expect to continue in the coming years.”
