EMA relocation: Amsterdam will not be ready and Milan's appeal

In the latest on the relocation of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), it has been reported that Italy intends to challenge the decision to move the EMA from London to Amsterdam after Brexit.

In November last year, Milan narrowly lost out to Amsterdam during a last minute tie decided by the drawing of lots, meaning that Milan lost, not on merit but because of bad luck.

This comes further to news that the EMA’s intended home in Amsterdam will not be ready until November 2019, some 8 months after Britain leaves the EU, meaning that the EMA will be put into temporary accommodation in Amsterdam.
