Vyk Joymungul - Network Security Manager

"I joined the IT department of Stevens & Bolton LLP in May 2011, having worked as an IT technician in a retail environment, where my role included speaking to clients and resolving hardware and software issues.

Stevens & Bolton offered me a role in a new environment with exciting opportunities and challenging experiences. I interact with a variety of different people, from all departments, making the job very varied and enjoyable. Part of my job is managing a helpdesk with my colleagues, logging all calls in order of priority and dealing with them accordingly. This enables us to properly respond to the needs of our ‘internal clients’ and provide them with an excellent service.

As well as all the opportunities and experiences Stevens & Bolton has to offer, one of the things that makes it so enjoyable is the location and atmosphere. Being close to the town with shops and restaurants, and next to the train station, the work/life balance is never far away."

Liam Hart - Head of Finance

"I joined Stevens & Bolton in September 2011 as a Finance Assistant, having graduated from Lancaster University with a BSc in Mathematics. Shortly after joining the firm offered to fund my CIMA professional qualifications, and I passed my final exam in August 2015. Since then I’ve moved through a variety of roles in the team to my current position as Head of Finance, where I’m responsible for a team of 10.

Stevens & Bolton is extremely nurturing and has given me a huge amount of support over the years as well as offering lots of exciting opportunities which I wouldn’t likely have access to in other larger organisations. I’m now actively involved in decision making which has a real impact on the direction of the partnership, and that ability to influence strategy provides me with a great deal of motivation.

There is a strong collegiate atmosphere across the firm, and everyone is enormously friendly and approachable. The social side of things is also a real bonus with the ability to get involved in all manner of activities outside of work from volunteering with the CSR team to playing football or singing in the choir."
