Harriet helps her clients with wills, estate planning, trust and tax advice as well as with probate and the administration of estates and powers of attorney.
Harriet specialised in private client matters from the start of her career. She qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and joined Stevens & Bolton in 2015.
Harriet is the first port of call for many clients, whether they are seeking advice in their personal capacity, as a trustee or an executor. Harriet has extensive experience in estate planning, helping her clients put wills in place and working with them to formulate long-term inheritance tax planning strategies. She provides legal and tax advice to trustees and beneficiaries. Harriet regularly deals with the administration of complex estates often involving business, agricultural and foreign assets. Harriet also regularly works alongside colleagues in the contentious trusts and estates team. Her clients are spread out geographically, some being local to Guildford, others in different parts of the UK with a number also based overseas.
Harriet is a full member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), having completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts & Estates with distinction in 2016, obtaining the highest overall mark globally and winning a STEP Worldwide Excellence Award. Harriet was also shortlisted for Surrey Law Society’s 2018 “Rising Star” award.
