Stevens & Bolton tops South East for individual recognition in Legal 500 2027

Stevens & Bolton has secured 54 individual rankings in the South East in the newly published Legal 500 2027, the highest number of any firm in the region, as reported by Insider Media.

The firm is recognised across 30 practice areas in the South East and London, with 15 receiving the directory’s highest Tier 1 ranking – one more than last year. The results reflect the breadth of expertise across Stevens & Bolton, with new individual entries and ranking promotions across several teams.

Franchising moves into Tier 1 this year, while the data protection and IP patents teams also secure ranking promotions.

Across the South East and London, individual recognition includes four Hall of Fame rankings for Keith Syson, Nicky Broadhurst, Jenny Robertson and Valerie Fogleman, 20 Leading Partners, nine Next Generation Partners and 13 Leading Associates, with the latter increasing by one compared with last year.

New entrants to the Leading Partners category include Beverley Flynn for IT, Tom Lingard for both media and sport, and Sophie Ashcroft for commercial litigation. Charlie Maurice receives ranking promotions for both IT and sport, alongside Catherine Penny for commercial litigation and James Lister for contentious trusts in London.

The Next Generation Partners rankings recognise Sean Hilton for family and new entrant James Evison for franchising. New Leading Associates include Gwilym Evans for construction, Kate Hamson-Maguire for intellectual property, and Ellie Sullivan and Susie Foden for contentious trusts.

The rankings follow a year of continued growth and investment for Stevens & Bolton, with revenue increasing by 61% and net profit by 63% over the last five years. The firm continues to invest in its people, technology and client service, with particularly strong performances across its private client, disputes and advisory practices.
