About

Elizabeth is a pragmatic and collaborative lawyer.

Since joining Stevens & Bolton in 2020, Elizabeth has advised clients on matters involving franchising arrangements, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and professional negligence claims, often with an international dimension.

Elizabeth works closely with businesses spanning a variety of jurisdictions and sectors including manufacturing and distribution, life sciences, franchising and insurance. She has a particular interest in life sciences work and ESG.

Recent highlights include:

Acting for a global insurer in a complex multimillion pound Commercial Court dispute concerning liability for insurance mis-selling redress paid to customers;

Acting for a global healthcare manufacturer in a dispute with a UK regulator;

Advising a luxury retail brand in relation to the termination of its distribution agreements;

Supporting a UK brand name franchisor on all its franchise dispute matters in the UK across its UK network of 100+ stores;

Advising a global electronics manufacturer on its day-to-day contractual disputes; and

Acting for the majority shareholders in relation to an unfair prejudice petition brought under s.994 Companies Act 2006.

Elizabeth is a member of the British Franchising Association and has written articles for industry publications including Elite Franchise, The Pharma Letter, The European Pharmaceutical Journal and the Governance & Compliance Magazine.

Elizabeth has her Higher Rights of Audience and has experience acting as a solicitor-advocate in the High Court.
