About

Frances is an experienced senior knowledge lawyer who delivers specialist technical support to our team of employment lawyers to help them to deliver a first-class service to clients.

She keeps up with the rapidly moving world of employment law and practice and makes sure the team does too, by managing our technical know-how and precedents and delivering a regular program of training. She writes articles and oversees the publication of a monthly employment update for clients.

Frances joined Stevens & Bolton in 2007, having trained and worked at a Magic Circle firm. She worked for a number of years as a senior associate in the employment team advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters including dealing with the employment aspects of share and business acquisitions and disposals. In 2013 she became a Knowledge Lawyer.

Frances is a keen environmentalist. She has been organising Stevens & Bolton’s work with a conservation project on a local chalk grassland site (known as the Mount) since 2022.

Frances, as part of the Stevens & Bolton team, was nominated in 2024 for the ESG initiative of the Year at the Women, Influence & Power in Law UK Awards for our work on the Mount in Guildford, Surrey.

With just the right knowledge, skills and tools – our knowledge lawyers empower our teams to make it happen for our clients.
