James joined Stevens & Bolton in 2001 after starting his career in the City and became a corporate partner in 2007. As head of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial group for many years, James was trusted by major corporate clients and entrepreneurs on their high stakes mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity and governance matters.

In 2022 James became the firm’s Managing Partner and now leads a talented management team of lawyers and business services professionals to develop and execute the firm’s strategy.
