Joanna Charter

Joanna manages the team’s knowhow and precedents, formulates and delivers training and writes articles. A consummate team player, Jo provides both a second pair of eyes for senior team members on complex matters and a helping hand for those more junior.

Joanna joined Stevens & Bolton in 2023. She trained with a Magic Circle firm in London and Asia, before working for them in Hong Kong for 15 years. Focused on maximising her clients’ outcomes in difficult situations, Joanna advised investors, creditors, companies and insolvency office holders on financial restructuring, security enforcement and insolvency processes. Joanna also has experience advising on, structuring and drafting cross-border loan and security documentation. Joanna brings her breadth of experience and an international outlook to her current role.
