About

Nicola is Head of Family. Nicola joined Stevens & Bolton in 2004 after 10 years working in London. She has led the successful family team since 2016.

Nicola is valued by her clients for her pragmatic and incisive advice, and her calm approach. She understands people and works in a collaborative way to build trust with clients and other solicitors. Her approachability and acumen are valued by her clients as well as other advisers, many of whom are regular referrers of their clients to her.

Apart from relationship breakdown, Nicola’s ability to deal sensitively with nuptial agreements has made her the go-to adviser for such work in the Guildford area. Nicola was invited to comment on BBC Breakfast on this subject, and provided commentary to BBC Radio London. Nicola has also written numerous articles for a variety of publications.

    • Advising in a divorce with complex and valuable hedge fund and pension assets, as well as a landed estate. Achieving a settlement using a private hearing.
    • Drafting a pre nuptial agreement for a client due to inherit more that £100 million so as to preserve the family wealth for later generations.
    • Drafting a post nuptial agreement on behalf of a client and their father to protect the inheritance of circa £50 million that the father wanted to pass on.
    • Advising a client with properties across Europe as well as other complex financial investments and pensions;
    • Working closely collaboratively with a couples’ financial adviser to help them negotiate an amicable agreement as to the division of their wealth.
    • Helping a client reach a settlement which provided a capital fund to meet the needs of the family dog.
