Stevens & Bolton accelerates strategic focus with Client Catalyst programme

Stevens & Bolton has delivered an ambitious partnership‑wide training programme designed to strengthen collaboration across the firm and sharpen its long‑standing commitment to client excellence.

The six‑month Client Catalyst programme - led by Head of BD & Marketing, Darren Cleveland, in partnership with The Results Consultancy - formed a central pillar of the firm’s ‘Let’s make it happen’ strategy, driving innovation, building cohesion and elevating how teams work together in support of clients.

A proactive investment in excellence

The Client Catalyst programme was introduced to enhance cross‑firm collaboration and ensure partners remain closely attuned to clients’ evolving priorities, equipping the firm to deliver coordinated, future‑focused support in a rapidly changing landscape.

Through a blend of workshops, activation sessions and 1‑2‑1 coaching, partners gained a common framework and shared language for strengthening relationships and delivering a more cohesive client experience.

Managing Partner James Waddell said:

“The Client Catalyst programme represents a meaningful investment in our partners, giving them the confidence, capability and structure to support our clients in a more focused and purposeful way. It has strengthened the behaviours that matter most – deeper listening, clearer strategic thinking and more consistent follow through.

“It ensures that our investment in our people directly supports what matters most: delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.”

Driving strategic alignment and commercial focus

The programme generated rapid momentum across the partnership, helping to:

  • increase multi‑disciplinary collaboration, creating richer and more strategic client conversations
  • sharpen focus on emerging growth markets, supported by BD&M insight tools and planning frameworks
  • speed up internal mobilisation, with opportunities moving seamlessly between teams
  • embed consistent routines around CRM, outreach, follow‑up and the use of business intelligence

Strong partner engagement and cultural alignment

Full‑partnership participation was a key objective of the programme, supported by Board‑level sponsorship and a clear strategic narrative.

James Stringer, Associate Director at The Results Consultancy, said:

“Being brought in to help a partnership with its relationship development can be challenging, but working with Darren and his team was a genuinely collaborative effort. With clear support from senior leadership, partners were open‑minded, engaged and receptive across all areas of the business.”

This engagement created a strong environment for sharing ideas, testing approaches and reinforcing the firm’s culture of collective ambition and client‑focused collaboration.

Head of BD&M, Darren Cleveland, added:

“The momentum behind this programme has come from our partners. Their energy and commitment to raising the bar on client excellence has been a powerful driver of its success. Our scale, our single‑site model and our commitment to independence mean we can readily harness collective insight in this way and invest time and energy in truly understanding and responding to our clients’ fast-changing needs.”

A broader strategic platform

Client Catalyst was delivered alongside a series of interconnected initiatives over the last year, including:

  • an expanded and revitalised Business Services team
  • a refreshed brand and strategy
  • a new, clarity‑driven website
  • closer alignment between Business Services, practice and sector priorities

These developments provided the foundation for the programme and ensured its impact is embedded across the firm, not delivered in isolation.

More importantly, Client Catalyst has reinforced Stevens & Bolton’s ethos: a commitment to delivering clarity, confidence and collaboration in every client interaction.
