Stevens & Bolton LLP is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the inaugural Student ADR Essay Competition organised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators South East Branch and The University of Law. The winners of the competition are due to be announced in London on 5 December 2019.
The competition was open to all undergraduates, graduates and those undertaking professional training with an interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution, not just those intending to enter the legal profession.
The winner, who is to be announced by Lord Neuberger, the Chair of the judging panel, at the Awards Ceremony will receive a prize of £2500 and the unique opportunity to learn more about ADR with a one month Internship with Stevens and Bolton LLP. The winning essay will also be published in the CIArb “Journal of Arbitration” which is sent to over 20,000 ADR practitioners and members of the Institute worldwide. The runner-up prize is £1,250 and the third place £750. All entrants will be offered Student Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
We are delighted to support this initiative and to encourage the development of ADR knowledge and understanding amongst students and professionals of the future.
