Stevens & Bolton's Head of IP, David Wilkinson, has been invited to speak at Digital Spark 2010, a computer games and IP conference being held at the University of Abertay Dundee on 1-2 September 2010.
The session, titled 'Pre/Post Launch – Infringement Risks: How to Limit Your Exposure', will cover risk limitation strategies including:
- securing ownership of works created for a game
- ensuring licences are obtained for 3rd party IP
- securing ownership / right to use User Generated Content (UGC)
- policies against infringing / defamatory UGC.
