Now that January is firmly behind us, thoughts may be turning to possible tax planning opportunities available to maximise reliefs and allowances for the year ahead, to ensure that our tax affairs are in the best possible shape. 

At the time of writing, it remains unclear what form Brexit may take, and what outcome this may have on future tax policy. It remains a possibility that the Spring Statement on 13 March 2019 may include further policy changes to help the UK economy with the impact of leaving the EU.
