Presenter delays – a slight relief?

Some in-house counsel may be breathing a sigh of relief after Companies House announced that it is delaying its requirement for all “presenters” i.e. anyone submitting filings, to complete their own ID verification. The transitional year for both directors and Persons with Significant Control to carry out IDV is now well under way, and experiences with the One Login process have been mixed, with some finding it more straightforward than others. The postponement therefore eases the pressure for now, at least until November.

By no earlier than November 2026, Companies House should be able to make identity verification of the presenters a compulsory part of filing any document and require third party agents filing on behalf of companies to be registered as an ACSP
