Our experience includes

  • Providing day-to-day support to an automotive manufacturer on HR issues including disciplinary issues and grievances, family friendly issues, senior exits/exit agreements, and brand protection/confidentiality. For example, advising on issues arising from proposed changes to existing shift patterns and rotations in place in the company’s production line, involving risk analysis in respect of the Working Time Regulations and National Minimum Wage legislation and contract.
  • Advising a Lloyd’s of London syndicate and long-standing insurance client on various strategic matters. This has included negotiating the exit of a senior board member and data protection officer, including advice on regulatory (FCA) and Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) obligations; advising on the proposed implementation of an on-call working system for the internal IT team; an investigation into sexual harassment following a work event; a grievance of race discrimination; disciplinary matters; and advising on implementing shared parental leave arrangements.
  • Advising a global cybersecurity specialist on contractor status and IR35 risk in relation to a senior individual within the business.
  • Supporting a publishing group on its gender identity policy, including drafting the policy and employee consultation in relation to it.
  • Advising in relation to the aftermath of a challenging acquisition of a UK entity by a New Zealand company, working with insolvency colleagues to advise the UK entity going forwards.
