Stevens & Bolton has advised the ZEISER Division of Orell Füssli Ltd on its acquisition of track and trace software from Inspectron.
ZEISER was founded in 1955, and joined the Orell Füssli Group in 2002 as a leading systems supplier of security printing and serialisation for the production and successful protection of banknotes, security and identity documents.
Inspectron is a global technology provider of innovative track and trace solutions, with systems that verify, track and report on millions of documents, labels, identity cards and packaging.
ZEISER has acquired a real-time tracking, reporting and auditing system that is used on individual machines and on entire product lines. The system will expand its offering, new software and services. The acquisition will strengthen ZEISER’s leading position in the market as a provider of serialisation solutions and services for the security printing industry.
Thorsten Tritschler, Managing Director of ZEISER, commented “This was a complex transaction involving a German company, belonging to a Swiss group, acquiring assets of a company in the UK and at the same time its subsidiary in the USA. Managing a combined M&A project across legal and cultural differences was certainly not an easy task. In Stevens & Bolton we found a very competent partner who advised and supported us very professionally throughout the entire process in all areas.”
Nick and his team always managed to bring the different points of view to a common denominator. We would like to thank them for their motivated and committed cooperation.”
Nick Atkins, corporate Partner at Stevens & Bolton said “We are delighted to have supported ZEISER on this significant acquisition, allowing them to offer a new product to their portfolio. We wish Thorsten and the ZEISER team all the best for the continued growth of the ZEISER business.”
The Stevens & Bolton team was led by Nick Atkins, supported by Melanie Shone (corporate tax), Abigail Etchells, (employment), Rachel Collins (employment), Rosa Waters (commercial), Kate Maguire (intellectual property) and Melissa Turner (corporate).
