Stevens & Bolton advised founders Mark Robson, Mark Williams, Julie Phipps and Julian Clarke on their exit from Red Mist Holdings, the parent company of award-winning pub group Red Mist Leisure, now wholly owned by Red Lion Holdings, the pub investment group.
Stevens & Bolton has been working with the owners of Red Mist for several years on a number of transactions involving takeovers and sales of companies and pubs within the group, including the acquisition of The Parrot Inn last year. The exit presented a fresh start for the founders, with four of the pubs and inns (The Royal Exchange, The Red Lion, The Castle Inn and The Rose and Crown) from across Surrey and Hampshire being transferred to the founders’ new enterprise, New Dawn Pubs, to be run separately from the Red Mist/Red Lion group. The quartet are looking forward to continuing their delivery of authentic, quality pub experiences and supporting locally sourced food and drink suppliers.
Mark Robson of New Dawns Pubs and one of the founders of Red Mist Leisure commented: “We are excited to start this new chapter of our pub portfolio and are grateful to all at S&B who worked with us to achieve this first step.”
Keith Syson, Corporate Partner at Stevens & Bolton said: “It was a pleasure to work with the Red Mist founders once again and we look forward to watching the New Dawn Pubs group flourish under their expert leadership.”
The Stevens & Bolton team was led by Keith Syson, supported by Charlotte Lane (corporate), Richard Wilkin (real estate) and Boma Adoki (employment).
