Restructuring and insolvency bulletin - June 22

We hope you all enjoyed the extended Easter weekend and happy holidays to those observing Easter, Passover or Ramadan during this period. In the financial world, interest rates continue to rise but mortgage rates are falling as lenders predict the beginning of the end to recent interest rate hikes. Businesses have further cause for optimism with falling energy prices and a recovery in global supply chains, which should help to reduce cost pressures and delays.

In this edition of our newsletter,  we look at a number of topical insolvency issues from recent weeks. We discuss the first reported case of an unsecured credit bid, how to terminate a contract with an insolvent counterparty, the recent consultation on the insurer resolution regime and the time limit for realising a bankrupt’s property. We also provide a link to an external article penned for LexisPSL on cryptoassets in insolvency. Do let us know if you have any comments on the material covered or suggestions for other topics you would like us to cover in future.
