Elaine is a managing associate whose practice extends to all aspects of intellectual property.
She has extensive experience of litigating complex IP disputes in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. She represents individuals and companies in many sectors, but has a particular focus on the fashion, luxury and retail sectors and is regularly quoted in industry publications such as Drapers, as well as in the national press.
Elaine is listed as a “Rising Star” in The Legal 500 directory, in which she is described by clients as "an impressive and bright lawyer". Recent examples of her work include: advising a leading French fashion house in relation to a comparative advertising dispute; acting for the world famous Casino de Monte Carlo in a UK trade mark infringement action; and representing a major UK publisher in a long-running High Court dispute with a US-based games developer. She also recently gave a seminar in New York on the IP aspects of transatlantic transactions.
She is an active member of various IP organisations, including TIPLO, AIPPI, INTA and MARQUES. She is also a member of the Franco-British Lawyers Society. In 2011 she obtained the widely-respected Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Oxford.
