Elaine is a senior associate whose practice extends to all aspects of intellectual property.
She has extensive experience of litigating complex IP disputes in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. She represents individuals and companies in many sectors, but has a particular focus on the retail sector and is regularly quoted in industry publications such as Drapers, Boutique Magazine and Menswear and Womenswear Buyer Magazines.
Recent examples of her work include: advising a leading French fashion house in relation to a comparative advertising dispute; acting for the world famous Casino de Monte Carlo in a UK trade mark infringement action; and representing a major UK publisher in a long-running High Court dispute with a US-based games developer. She also recently gave a seminar in New York on the IP aspects of transatlantic transactions.
She is an active member of all the main UK IP organisations, including TIPLO, AIPPI, INTA and MARQUES. She is also a member of the Franco-British Lawyers Society. In 2011 she obtained the widely-respected Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Oxford.
