If youre facing redundancy, we can advise you on your options and, where necessary, we assist with negotiating severance terms to achieve a fair and favourable outcome, or represent you in Employment Tribunal proceedings.

We also help you understand your rights, respond to disputes and advise you on the terms and implications of settlement agreements and post-termination restrictions, including non-compete clauses and confidentiality obligations.

  • Advising a CEO of a well-known brand on their potential departure and the terms governing their stepping down as CEO in a managed transition, bearing in mind throughout the negotiations: maintaining a favourable good leaver status, remuneration committee rules, and the rules applicable as a FTSE 100-listed company in light of maximising the value of their settlement package.

Employment disputes

We help you navigate employment disputes, fighting your corner when employment issues become disputes and, taking a commercial and pragmatic view. Our team is approachable and experienced in the tactics and issues that arise on both sides of a dispute and how to deal with them.

We partner with you to resolve disputes before they result in proceedings being brought, including assisting with responding to grievances, working with you to mitigate risks, andliaising with ACAS in relation to early conciliation and settlement. However, where claims are unavoidable, we are experienced in successfully defending Employment Tribunal proceedings. This includes claims for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and breach of contract,discrimination, harassment, unlawful deductions from wages, whistleblowing, working time and holiday pay.

We can also support you in relation to proceedings in the High Court, including in relation to contractors, breach of contract, restrictive covenants and misuse of confidential information, including making or defending applications for injunctions.
