Stevens & Bolton has raised £16,000 for its charity partner, The Lighthouse, through its biennial Promises Charity Auction.
The auction forms part of the firm’s wider Responsible Business programme and brings colleagues together to raise funds for its partner charity through an evening of donated promises, entertainment and friendly competition.
This year, colleagues offered a range of promises and experiences for others to bid on, including homemade sourdough, a Christmas gift-wrapping service and a bespoke quiz evening. A Greek theme, gyros and an ABBA tribute band added to the celebrations, with all proceeds from the auction and raffle going to The Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse supports people facing financial hardship, loneliness and poor mental health through its community hubs and volunteer-led projects across Surrey and Hampshire.
Erik Jespersen, co-Founder of The Lighthouse, said:
“We were so delighted to attend the event and are incredibly grateful to everyone at Stevens & Bolton for their support.
“Partnerships like this make a real difference to the people and families we serve across our local communities.
“The generosity shown through the Charity Auction will help us continue delivering projects that support, encourage and empower those who find themselves in need.”
James Waddell, Managing Partner at Stevens & Bolton, said:
“Our charity auction captures so much of what makes life at Stevens & Bolton special. Colleagues bring their ideas, talents and enthusiasm to the evening, and there’s always plenty of laughter and friendly competition.
“Supporting our local community is an important part of our wider Responsible Business approach, and our partnership with The Lighthouse is a great example of what that can look like in practice.
“Thank you to everyone who organised the event, donated promises and bid so generously. Raising £16,000 for The Lighthouse while having such a brilliant evening together is something we can all be proud of.”
