Stevens & Bolton LLP advises Merino Private Equity on its investment in Paul's Cycles

Stevens & Bolton LLP has advised Merino Private Equity on its investment in Paul’s Cycles, a bike retailer based in Dereham, Norfolk.

Paul’s Cycles primarily sells online through its website, as well as through a store in Dereham. It specialises in high end mountain and road bikes from top brands at competitive prices and high levels of service.  Merino has invested in the business alongside the original founder Paul Meachen and brought in Julian Wright as MD.

Mark Colley of Merino said, “We are incredibly excited to be investing in Paul’s Cycles. We hope to build on the strong growth it has experienced in recent years, and establish it as the top destination for high end mountain and road bikes online. Paul’s has built a strong reputation through offering good prices, with excellent service levels, which will provide a platform for growth. We look forward to working with Paul and Julian in delivering these ambitions.”

The Stevens & Bolton team was led by corporate partner Keith  Syson and included Nick Atkins (corporate), Andrew Dodds (banking), Kate Schmit (corporate tax) and Michael Laver (real estate).
