  1. Personal Taxation

It is often said that “death and taxes” are the only two certainties in life.

This has never been truer as, since the turn of the millennium, we have seen UK tax legislation triple in size to over 10,000 pages so it’s never been more important to get your personal taxes in order.

The new century has also seen some of the most dramatic changes ever made to the tax landscape, including an overhaul of the employment tax code (2003), the sudden and far reaching changes to the taxation of trusts (2006), a whole new landscape for non-UK domiciled individuals and offshore trusts (2008), the introduction of the additional rate for income tax (2009) and significant changes to the taxation of non-UK domiciliaries and trusts set up by them (2017).

It has never been more important to take stock of your personal tax position, to ensure that you are fully complying with your tax obligations and to assess whether your affairs can sensibly be organised more efficiently.

Within our tax team we are able to provide practical personal tax advice in relation to a very wide range of issues that may affect you.
