EU Settlement Scheme applications
As a result of Brexit, free movement for European nationals ends at 11pm on 31 December 2020. European nationals and their family member who arrive in the UK by that time must apply for settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme if they wish to remain in the UK long term. These applications must be submitted by 30 June 2021. The only exceptions are those who are dual British nationals, those who are Irish nationals and those who have indefinite leave to remain. Even those who have already obtained permanent residence will still need to apply for settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
We can assist you or your family members with your application under the EU Settlement Scheme and we are also able to advise on some of the pitfalls associated with the EU Settlement Scheme, such as the impact of lengthy absences from the UK on your ability to obtain settled status.
We also advise in relation to applications for naturalisation as a British citizen.
Frontier worker permit
If you are primarily resident outside of the UK but have undertaken work in the UK before 1 January 2021 you may able to apply for a frontier worker permit to enable you to continue to come to the UK to undertake work and we can assist you with this application.
